Recently, the Cornell University and the Visipedia co-founded a new website devoted to the study of birds in North America.

This new website is a new tool for the public and for bird lovers to identify populations. This site was created by Cornell University-led, can be easily to help bird lovers to determine the type of flock, just upload photos to the site can be automatically identified.
After users upload photos, the site will be through a series of complex artificial intelligence algorithms to identify photos of birds. And the only restriction is that the site is limited because the database only recognize the birds from North America United States and Canada.

Then the site will come from eBird.org user's photos and more than 70 million birds in the website database photos for comparison, to provide users with the closest answer. Interestingly, users will get the same kinds of birds in addition to photos of the results, you will also get the kind of bird sounds and synthesized music with sounds.

This new website called Merlin Bird Photo ID, currently free to users.
